Southern Boys

Who are the Southern Boys? Danny Ray Harris, no stranger to Christian Country music, and Steve Roberson bring their talents together to form the newest Christian Country Duo. Their tight sound and harmonies are coming to your area soon! Here are their individual bio's:
Steve Roberson has had a full career in the entertainment industry. From professional wrestling, to being a radio DJ, to performing in honky tonks and bars. When asked when he found his reason for living, Steve will readily answer,"When I found Jesus!"
Steve knows what it's like to be down, as he was paralyzed from the waist down in 1996. After 7 back surgeries and 2 hip replacements, Doctors told him that he would never walk again. But God showed that he is in control, as Steve now walks, but now he walks for The Lord!
Steve now travels full time, ministering to thousands each year, telling about how life can be complete with Jesus!
Steve is also an accomplished songwriter. Not only songs that he records, but many other artists as well.
In August of 2010, Steve had his first National Radio Release, "The Stone Was Rolled Away", to Southern Gospel, Christian Country and Country Radio.
Danny was born December 22 1976 in Pineville, KY. Danny’s love for music began at an early age of 4. At the age of 5 years old Danny’s kindergarten teacher overheard him singing John Anderson’s song just a swinging and insisted on recording him in front of the class.
After attending school in Pineville through 3rd grade, he and his parents moved to Bay Minette, AL. Danny then attended Bay Minette Elementary until the 5th grade. His parents separated and he moved back to KY with his father. The pain of his parents separating took a toll on him. Because of this, Danny moved back and forth between AL and KY until he was 17 years old. While in KY, Danny gave his heart to Jesus Christ in a small Baptist Church.
Danny never could seem to focus after the separation. His grades started slipping and moving back and forth only made things worse. The only thing he felt he could turn to was his music. Dannyquit school at the age of 16 years old and began playing guitar and singing country music in. He entered several contests in the area around him like the jimmy Dean Country Showdown, and he won 1st place at the Hank Williams Festival Song Writing Contest in 1998.
In 2001 Danny was invited to aMarty Raybon concert. Through Marty’s awesome testimony and music he realized that the ways of the world are meaningless if God isn’t in complete control of him. Danny soon realized that all of his failure in country music was merely because God wasn’t in control. On that night in 2001 it all suddenly became clear to him. Without God in control of everything you do it means nothing, but with God anything is possible.
With guidance from God and the support of family & friends, Danny just released his third album, Legacy. Having major charting success with songs from his previous two albums, everyone is anticipating a new radio release from the new album. 2011 is going to be a great year for Danny Ray Harris and his fans..... new music and a lot of new dates.
