At an early age, Epp Walls got hooked on music. He enjoyed listening to all of his Mom and Dad’s old vinyl 33 and 45 records. When he was Eight years old with size 10 cowboy boots wearing an old hat, He had a broom for a guitar. Epp stood in front of a mirror pretending to be on the Grand Ole Opry. Epp always loved to sing as a child. His dreams were full of becoming a singer. Being raised in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina, Epp was influenced by a wide range of different styles of music. Ole time Gospel, Rock-N-Roll, Country, Bluegrass and Mountain Folk songs were among a few of his favorites. Epp finally started playing a real guitar and drums. He also played football and studied martial arts; but his main interest was always music. Later on, Epp played drums and sang lead for a Country/Rock group for several years before starting as a solo singer. Songwriting had always been one of his most favorite things to do.

Before becoming a Gospel singer and songwriter, Epp wrote lyrics for Country and Country/Rock styles of music. Epp’s passion these days is writing Christian songs. Telling people with music how Christ has changed his life and how Christ can change their lives gives him a sense of purpose for the life God gave him. Epp’s family still lives in the mountains of North Carolina. He is the son of Troy Walls and the late Helen Marie Walls who had the most influence on Epp’s Gospel singing. His mother always told Epp that God had gave him a gift to write songs and sing. And that he should sing for the Lord. On the day of his mother’s funeral he stood by his mother’s graveside, recalling the words his mother had said to him over and over again. That day he gave his heart to the Lord. Epp is a sibling to three others. He had a sister, MaLinda Darlene Walls, who passed away and is missed dearly and two brothers; Garl and Buddy. Epp also has a beautiful daughter named Tammy. Epp now lives in Central Kentucky where he and his wife Kathleen Larkin Walls have a farm. They raise horses and several dogs. From an 8 year old little boy in front of the mirror, to stages, churches and events all over the country; Epp is living his and his mother’s dream of being a singer. Although, He came from a life of struggle and uncertainty he finds strength in Christ and now has a life of hope and love. Epp shares these life experiences of God’s Grace and Love through his songs. Favorite Songs: Amazing Grace, The Anchor Holds, I’d Rather Have Jesus Hobbies: (besides eating pecan pie and ice cream) are watching westerns, picking the guitar on the front porch and working the horse farm with his wife, Kathleen.
