Denean grew up in a small town in south Alabama. Like most she has sang in church since she was a little girl. She loves to sing, but even more than that it is evident that it is a calling God embedded deep within her. She wrote one of the songs "Footprints in the Sand" on her newest album, and the rest of the songs are also centered around hope. A message that she so strongly believes in, and clings to. "Music is my ministry. My mission is to share God's relentless love, reach the lost, give restoration to the broken, and peace to the hurting. To remind ALL that you have hope, and if you can conceive it...you CAN achieve it. Nothing is impossible with God.(Luke 1:37)" Three of Denean's children have been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, but you'll never hear her complain. "I'm married to the man of my dreams, and we are blessed with four beautiful children." She's shared her testimony at women's confrences and on the radio. It's a testimony of heartache, frustration, spiritual warfare, love, faith, victory, and hope. After hearing it you will understand why she so desperately clings to, and willingly shares the assurance of hope. Denean's love for God and people can be felt from the first note she sings to the moments after you hear her. You're left pondering the love God has for His children. There is an unmistakable depth to her voice that distinguishes her from the majority. Dynamic. Anointed. Limitless. All words so often used to describe Denean's voice. Her voice is classic yet intense, and there is a peace that flows through her voice and music. A peace that ingrains itself in the core of your being. Denean made a promise years ago, "Lord, wherever you want me to go. I'll go." She's kept that promise, and has been faithful to God. He's honored her faithfulness: from the reverence of the church to the radio and from benefit concerts to sharing the stage with Big Daddy Weave. In Oct. of 2009 her song God Don't Make Mistakes went to number 1 on the Christian Country charts. She was also nominated for for female vocalist of the year and ended up in the top 5. "I love to see people's lives changed by the indefinable love of God. Music is a gift. Many can sing, but to have the special gift of God's anointing gives you the ability to convey the heart of God to other's through your heart's song." What a soul piercing and radiant heart song she has! "If you have hope, you have it all: the promise of tomorrow and the love and grace of God. It's always darkest before the dawn. So, just keep shining. Even the smallest glimmer lights up the darkness." Thank you so much for your patience and your trust in the ministry that we are so privlidged to be apart of. We are learning as we go and are so sorry for your inconvenience. We so appreciate you listening. God bless you all and remember there's always hope. Denean Workman."
